Czech heritage Society of Texas
The mission of CHS is to preserve and promote the genealogy, history, heritage, culture, and language of Texans who trace their ancestors to Bohemian, Moravian, Slovakian, Silesian, or Rusyn (Ruthenian) regions within the boundaries of the former Czechoslovakia, as created in 1918 at the end of World War I.

National pageant results 2025!
The 2025 pageant was an incredible success!
Madelyn Karstedt, representing Texas, of LaGrange, TX was crowned the Miss Czech-Slovak US Queen 2025-2026; she is the fifth Texas queen to wear the national crown. She also received the Sokol Talent Runner-Up and Kroj Merit Award. She has received a special educational scholarship donated by Dr. Cecelia Rokusek, Slovak Honorary Consul of Florida.
